Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about commercial cleaning scopes, scheduling, and pricing.

General questions

What is included in commercial cleaning?

A commercial cleaning program is built around your building rather than a fixed package. Most scopes cover trash removal, restroom cleaning and restocking, vacuuming and hard-floor care, dusting, wiping and disinfecting high-touch surfaces, and break room or kitchen areas. During your walkthrough we document exactly which tasks happen at which frequency so you and your crew are working from the same checklist.

How often should our offices be cleaned?

It depends on how many people use the space and how much foot traffic it sees. Busy offices and client-facing spaces are often cleaned nightly, while smaller or lower-traffic facilities do well on a two or three day per week schedule. We can also combine a lighter recurring visit with periodic deep cleaning and floor care. Tell us how your space is used and we'll recommend a frequency.

Do you clean outside of business hours?

Yes. Most of our commercial work happens after hours, before opening, or overnight so cleaning never interrupts your operations. Day porter service is the exception — that's on-site support during the business day.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We carry commercial liability coverage and can provide a certificate of insurance for your records or for your property manager before service begins.

How is a commercial cleaning quote calculated?

Pricing comes down to the size of the space, the condition it's in, how often you want service, and which tasks are in scope. Specialty work such as floor stripping and waxing, carpet extraction, or post-construction detail is quoted separately. We provide a written quote after the walkthrough so there are no surprises on the invoice.

What if something isn't cleaned to our standard?

Call or email us and we'll make it right. You have one point of contact who knows your building, and we inspect our own work rather than waiting for you to catch a problem.

Do we need to supply cleaning products or equipment?

No. We arrive with our own supplies and equipment. If your facility requires specific products or procedures — common in medical and food-related environments — we'll work to your requirements.

How do we get started?

Janitorial services

What's the difference between janitorial and commercial cleaning?

"Commercial cleaning" is the umbrella term for cleaning any business or facility. Janitorial service usually refers to the recurring, day-to-day work that keeps a building running — trash, restrooms, floors, dusting, and touch-point disinfection on a fixed schedule.

Can we change our scope or schedule later?

Yes. Facilities change, and the scope should change with them. If you add square footage, shift your hours, or need a frequency adjustment, we'll revise the scope and quote.

Will the same crew clean our building each visit?

We assign a consistent crew wherever possible. Familiarity with your building is what makes the work reliable — the crew knows your layout, your access procedures, and your priorities.

Floor care

How often do commercial floors need to be stripped and waxed?

It depends on traffic and finish. High-traffic entries and corridors typically need refinishing more often than back-of-house areas, with buffing or burnishing in between to hold the shine. We'll assess your floors during the walkthrough and recommend a maintenance interval.

Can you clean carpet in an occupied office?

Yes. Carpet extraction is usually scheduled after hours or over a weekend so the carpet has time to dry before your team returns.

What floor types do you work with?

We service the surfaces common in commercial buildings — VCT, luxury vinyl, tile and grout, sealed concrete, and commercial carpet. Tell us what you have and we'll confirm the right process for it.

Post-construction cleaning

When should post-construction cleaning be scheduled?

After the trades have finished and before furniture, inspection, or handover. Some projects call for a rough clean partway through and a final detail clean at the end — we can plan around your build schedule.

What does a final clean include?

Construction dust removal from all surfaces including ledges and fixtures, interior window and frame cleaning, detail work on cabinetry and millwork, fixture and hardware polishing, and floor cleaning appropriate to the finished surface.

Do you handle debris removal?

We remove the fine debris and packaging left after the trades. Bulk construction debris and dumpster hauling is typically handled by the general contractor — let us know what you need and we'll clarify the split in the scope.
